I downloaded Charadium for the iPad a few days ago and it’s awesome! It reminds me of iSketch.com, which I used to love. You go into a game with random people on the internet (you can also connect up with your friends) and take turns drawing designated words. You get points for getting people to guess your words correctly or guessing others’ words.
I have to say, drawing with your finger as opposed to using a mouse or pen is a little annoying for me still. I’m not a great artist by any means, but when I see my finger drawings I get a little discouraged. They don’t exactly turn out very precise. But it’s all in good fun and it’s definitely helped me brush up on my iPad touch-typing skills. When guessing words I rotate my iPad into landscape mode, which allows me to use the larger keyboard. When drawing I rotate back to portrait, which gives me more space to draw in.
The only problem I have with it is that everyone I’ve met in-game so far is a 14-15 year old kid. And there is always at least one conversation of “Is so-and-so-user a girl?” “Do you like to flirt, so-and-so-user?” “How old are you?” “ASL” in each game. I just stay away from the chatting and focus on playing the game. The good thing is that I haven’t had a problem with finding a game yet – it always seems to be pretty full.
